What if I have a breakout the day of my shoot? 

No worries! That's what Photoshop is for! However, Photoshop is not helpful when it comes to: 
  • tan & watch lines
  • sunburned or peeling skin
  • rashes
  • significant injuries
  • boob tape and petal covers

 I normally don't wear makeup.
 Do I have to wear it for my session?

Of course not! But I HIGHLY recommend it! Makeup artists know just the right amount to apply to emphasize your best features, while still looking polished and natural.

What if I need anything during the shoot? 

I bring a beauty box to all shoots that includes:
  • mirror
  • safety pins
  • bug spray
  • a small fan
  • deodorant
  • contact lens solution
  • etc

Where will I change clothes? 

I have a pop-up tent to use that is very roomy inside. Some seniors choose to change in their car as well.
Great on hot days to take advantage of a little air conditioning.

How many outfits should I bring?

As many as you'd like! Most seniors usually bring between 4-5 outfits, but it's totally up to you.

Can I bring props for my session? 

Absolutely!! Props help to showcase your personality and can add interest to your photos. Some items to consider could include:
  • hats
  • flowers
  • books
  • blankets
  • sporting items
  • car

I have the perfect spot in mind for my photos. Can we shoot there? 

Maybe! When choosing a spot for your photos, location is important, but not as important as the light! Light trumps location always. If we don't have pretty light, then we can't make a pretty picture!

I like urban and natural locations. How do I choose where to have my photos taken? 

You might not have to! I love to show you a variety in your gallery, so depending on your chosen location, we can visit both! Your two locations will just have to be within 15 minutes or so of each other to allow enough shooting time.

I have a lot of items to bring with me. Where will I put it all? 

I have a folding wagon that I bring to all shoots! Place any extra shoes, clothing, snacks, etc inside and grab it when you need it!

What happens if the weather isn't cooperating? 

If it happens to:
  • rain the day of your shoot
  • have gusty winds
  • have a heat advisory
  • be hot & humid
  • be too cold
we will simply move you to the next open day in my calendar.

Makeup for photography is vastly different from makeup for day to day wear. Makeup artists and hairstylists use only the best HD camera ready and humidity resistant products on your face and hair to make you look your very best for your portraits. 

They're professionals! Just like you're choosing a professional for your photos, you should be utilizing a professional for your session day styling. Trust me, your makeup and hair are not something you want to place in unskilled hands the day of your session.

Scheduling professional hair and makeup will help keep your session day stress free and fun! Show up, get pampered, and look and feel great for your session.

Regular everyday makeup can be hard to see through the camera lens and not wearing enough can actually make you look washed out. Having makeup professionally applied helps to create a natural, polished look emphasizing your best features.

Let's make sure you're well prepared for your upcoming session. Here are a few things to remember!

fun barrettes, hair scrunchies, headband, scarf etc. to change things up during your session

Make sure all shoes are clean! Bring them in a laundry basket for easy transport. Also bring a comfy pair for walking from location to location.

Make sure you use clear deodorant the day of your shoot so it doesn't show transfer to your clothing. Moisturize arms, legs, etc for photos. 

sessions are just more fun with your favorite tunes! create a great playlist for us to listen to during your shoot. you’ll be glad you did!

go to bed at a reasonable time the night before your shoot. Aim for a solid 8 hours.

STEP 2: ORDERING & PAYMENT

Your online viewing and order appointment

Within a few days of your shoot, it will be time to view the UNEDITED PROOFS from your session. These images have not been retouched, and are for selection purposes only. You'll be able to choose the ones you'd like to keep and preserve. Your proofing gallery will remain active for 24 hours and all selections should be made during that time. I'll check in with you to see when you'd like your viewing and selection period to begin. Should you need an additional time to view your gallery, your viewing period may be extended for an additional 24 hour period for $100. This extension fee would be used toward the purchase of your KPP collection, prints, or products.

Once you view your proofs and decide which collection and product you'd like to order, submit your selections to me via your online proofing gallery. I will invoice you, and once I receive payment, I will get right to work editing your images.  

Please allow approximately 3 weeks for your final images to be edited, retouched and completed. Once your digital order is ready, you will receive an email with further instructions on how to download your images. Please store your digital files using a cloud service such as Dropbox, iCloud or Google Photos. Tangible products such as prints and albums will be available for pickup or delivery approximately 14 days after order is placed.   

It is important that all decision makers attend the online viewing and proofing period. All sales are final and full payment of your portrait order is due at the conclusion of your 24 hour online proofing viewing period. I accept check, cash, and all major credit cards.
